Species conservation

World Land Trust works to safeguard some of the planet’s most threatened species of plants and animals by protecting the habitats they depend on. Across our project areas, new species are still being discovered, many of them found nowhere else on Earth, their survival tied directly to the land saved through WLT funded conservation. These landscapes support an astonishing richness of life, from elusive mammals and vibrant birdlife to reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and, in some regions, remarkable freshwater fish. Below is just a glimpse of the extraordinary species that WLT helps to protect.
